Andrew Lincoln to Portray Rick Grimes in Three New Movies


After hyping up Rick Grimes' last episode of The Walking Dead, AMC has revealed that Rick Grimes is not done yet. 

Huge news for fans of The Walking Dead!

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Rick Grimes will appear in three AMC movies!

"The actor, who officially departed the flagship series Sunday, will reprise his role as Rick Grimes in a trio of big-budget, feature-length movies that will air on the basic cable network."

In the most recent episode of The Walking Dead, Rick Grimes seemingly sacrifices himself to save his community and family from a massive group of zombies. 

When he causes an explosion on the bridge, he is presumed dead. However, he is found by Anne. Anne brings him aboard a mysterious helicopter that is transporting Rick to an unknown location. 

It looks like Rick's story won't be coming to an end after all. The first of three movies is currently being written by Gimple and will start production in 2019. 

This is all part of AMC's plan to expand The Walking Dead Universe and grow the franchise.

Movies aren't all that will be coming our way. There are new specials, digital content, and the possibility of a brand new series all in the works. There is also a chance we will get to see old characters who have already died on the show.

Apparently, these plans have been in development since season four and Rick will survive his current injuries. The next time we see Rick will be in a big budget, two-hour movie!

The Walking Dead Universe Crossover Confirmed

After over two years of saying it would never happen, we are finally getting a  Walking Dead  and  Fear the Walking Dead  crossover! Ever since Fear the Walking Dead premiered in August of 2015, creators of both shows stated several times that the two shows would never cross over. However, Robert Kirkman, creator of  The Walking Dead , has now said otherwise! Walking Dead Season 7 Finale Review: Beginning of All Out War

This episode starts off with Dwight talking to Rick and his group. He says he wants to stop Negan but they need to do it correctly or someone else will rise up and take his place. Dwight explains he only has been working for Negan to keep his wife safe, but now that she has escaped he is ready to fight against Negan. Andrew Lincoln to Leave The Walking Dead After Season 9

No one is safe in AMC's The Walking Dead , not even Rick Grimes himself. According to Collider , Andrew Lincoln is set to leave The Walking Dead after season 9. Lincoln, who plays the series main character Rick Grimes, has been apart of the show since its beginning in 2010. However, it looks as though Rick isn't going to survive much longer. There was an update from   comicbook.com  saying they have confirmed the news from multiple independent sources.
